The All-Stars Travel League allows our youth bowlers to compete against youth bowlers from other area bowling centers. The six bowling centers currenty in our league are Alvin, Conroe, Dynamic, Huntsville, Pearland, and Stafford.  We travel to each of the bowling centers and participate in matches that are held once a month on Sunday.  

 

 

We take the bowlers who wish to participate and qualify by having the most pins over average on the two Saturdays before the match is to be held.  The youth bowlers must be 12 years old on or before August 31st of each year. They can continue to participate until they turn 18 years old or graduate from high school. This league helps the bowlers to learn how to adjust to bowling on different lane conditions and in different bowling centers. This year three teams will qualify to go to the Texas All Star Travel League State Tournament. We take 6 bowlers to each match, 1-5 person team and an alternate. The alternate also bowls each time, so that they can be eligible to go to State.

 

Current Standings 

The bowlers from Alvin finished the 2007 season in 1st place in the league. The bowlers who have participated this year are Robert Amerhein, Ashley Bivens, Shelbie New, Isaac Gonzalez, Hayden Basiliere, John-Danial Ryan, Kristopher Stokes, Kenny Popham, Joey Cegielski, and Stephanie Turner. Robert, Ashley, Shelbie, Joey and Kenny are also on the Alvin High School Bowling Team. Kenny and Joey are also members of the Greater Houston Youth Travel League. The participating teams are Alvin, Pearland, Stafford, Dynamic, Huntsville, and Conroe. We are advancing to the 2007 State tournament in Longview, TX on May 5th!
